Morning Report

November 8th, 2008 Posted in Diary

Good morning.

Did I mention that William is feeling a bit under the weather? He is. William being sick means that his hold me in the morning routine is magnified. Today it was hold me while you cook. Hold me while I eat. Hold me as I watch my morning cartoon. But after about an hour he started feeling better, jumped up and decided to be on his own.

This morning, because Will was sick, I wanted something quick and easy. So I made cinnamon toast. Kat was all over that idea. He grabbed the cinnamon and insisted that he help. He did have a hard time waiting as the toast toasted. But happily ate it after it came out of the oven.

I made Melinda a latte this morning and when Kat saw it, she asked for a hot chocolate. As I made the hot chocolate, she ran in, “can I have marshmallows?”

“Sure,” I responded.

She ran to cabinet, pulled them out and then asked, “can I do a taste check.”

“Sure,” I smiled.

She then sampled the marshmallow and let us know that these marshmallows were perfectly acceptable.

Today, it is a dreary day here in northern California. Melinda wants to do a lets get ready for the holidays clean up of the house. Today we are going to tackle the bedroom, getting it back into shape.

I will also be cooking a lot this weekend. Melinda wanted to try this organic produce delivery service. You pay $30 for a box of produce that is supposed to last you for the week. The problem is that you get squash, chard, and other vegis that we don’t normally cook. Which is fine. It means that I have to figure out what to do with it. But the challenge is to use it all before next Wednesday when we get another box.

Other than that, all is quiet here.

Oh, one other thing I have to do is create a family calendar page. I will need to do that this morning as well.

Anyway, that is the news for now. Hope you all have a nice day.
